Privacy policy

This policy explains what Career Guardian collects, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. If anything here is unclear, email Launch@career-guardian.com and we'll explain it in plain terms.

Who we are

Career Guardian is a CV writing service operating from Florida, United States. For questions about your data, contact Launch@career-guardian.com.

What we collect

Why we use it

Your career information is confidential

What you tell us about your work, your employer and your reasons for moving is treated as confidential. We do not contact your current or former employers, we do not share your details with recruiters or third parties, and we do not use your CV as an example or portfolio piece without asking you first and getting a clear yes.

Cookies and tracking

This site uses cookies and similar technologies from the following services:

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Doing so won't stop you using the site.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the services needed to run the business: Stripe for payments, our email and form providers for correspondence and lead capture, and our website host. Each processes data on our instructions. We don't sell your information to anyone, and we never will.

How long we keep it

Client project files are kept for two years after your project completes, so we can help if you come back for an update. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Records required for tax and accounting are kept as long as the law requires.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you what we hold about you, correct it, delete it, or stop emailing you. Email Launch@career-guardian.com and we'll action it within 30 days. If you're in the UK or EU, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children

This service is intended for adults in the workforce. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
